Boasting excellent transport links, our home is just a few minutes’ walk from Kingsbridge Bus Station, offering routes to Plymouth, Salcombe, Dartmouth, and Totnes, as well as a free weekly bus to the willows at Torquay. There are plenty of opportunities for outings, with numerous beaches easily accessible via public transport from Kingsbridge Quay.

We have 11 single-occupancy rooms. Every room in Abbeyfield House is generously sized, featuring a purpose-built en-suite bathroom, a combined bedroom/lounge area, and a well-equipped kitchenette with a sink, worktop, and cupboards. The carpeted rooms come unfurnished, so you can bring your belongings to create a true sense of home. You’ll also find television and telephone points, along with ample electrical sockets, as well as your own secure front door.

Our large lounge/dining area provides a comfortable space for relaxation, whether you prefer reading a book or catching up with friends and family, or socialising with other residents. Our elevated outdoor patio area also offers the perfect spot to relax on warm summer days.

We take pride in serving high-quality, home-cooked lunches and suppers daily in our communal dining room, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all residents.

At Abbeyfield House, our calendar is packed with activities throughout the year. During Christmastime, our annual Christmas events include a Thurlestone Hotel lunch, carol singing with local schools, and festive outings. Throughout the year, we organise trips for cream tea, fish & chips, visits to landmarks like Buckfast Abbey, and trips to the theatre. We also host coffee mornings, bringing residents together, and birthdays are celebrated with cake and bubbly.
